Antibacterial clothes and fibers
By using nanosilver ,textile will be given some special properties that lead to improve utility and decrease final cost rather than common methods for antibacterializing textile. nanosilver in comparison with other antimicrobial methods (like using chemical materials) has more durability and efficiency and there is no need to any other special equipment during common process of textile industry. Nanosilver can be used in many particular applications like clothing utilized in hygiene, sport, military industries, moreover, because of capability of removing micro-organisms adding nanosilver to products is becoming a distinction.
One of the characteristics of Nanocid products is their application in fibers and clothes, and when they are produced in this way, have the following special ties:
applications:
According to the above points, antibacterial fibers and clothes have a vast and various usages as the following:
Utilizable percentage of nanosilver: Dose of mixing depends on kind and final usage of goods, is determined case by case.
Consumption procedure: In order to antibacterialize goods, according to the kind of goods and producing process of them, nanosilver can be used in suitable phase, it needn't extra equipments. Natural: yarn can be antibacterial before or after changing into textile, and about artificial yarn, nanosilver can be added to melted polymer in extruder or masterbatch containing nanosilver can be used. Adding nanosilver (based on nanotitan), beside antibacterialize yarn, increases (specific gravity) and it causes improving drap property. In order to antibacterialize different textile including natural and artificial, according to production process, we can use padding, dip coating, spraying. Blend textile, clothing, bandage and all textiles in general can be mixed in this way. In padding method, textile is passed through common machines in textile through nanosilver colloid dilution. with passing textile through nanosilver colloid, nanosilver stands on the surface of yarn because of contact and some, depends on condition, may infiltrate into yarn. In dip coating method, by diping textile in nanosilver colloid dilution , in temperature of more than 50 c , in special time, nanosilver particles infiltrate in yarn. Doing the procedure under pressure, causes to increase infiltration of nano particles in yarn, and its antibacterial property will be more permanent.
Distinctions of Nanosilver Products (Nanocid):
Note: Because of variety production process and different performances of companies, it is not possible to determine one special method for all companies. The best stage and method is found out by negotiation with that company’s R&D.
process of antibacterializing : The process of antibacterializing goods to do this according to the kind of goods and their production process, we can use nanosilver in an appropriate step. We can choose one of the following methods:
1-Padding In order to cause antimicrobial activities in natural and synthetic
2-Dip coating
3-Spraying
4-Mixing NANOCID powder In the spinning process, or using masterbatch
